They've been around for longer than Ohlins, but have only just started making a name for themselves at world-level racing (Bertocchi Kawasaki's Chris Walker in WSB). WebJan 27, 2011 · Bitubo will also put the proper "spring rate" spring on your shock for you. Based on your weight, the bikes weight and your riding style, and set the spring preload. I would buy these all over again. They are more money than 440's but I think they would out perform the 440's. Also the forks.

WebAug 22, 2011 · The front forks take Silkolene 5W oil, also provided by Bitubo. 145 mm from the top of the fully compressed fork, and then put the spring seat and spring in and screw in the preload adjusters. There is a locknut that is a bit fiddly, but not too bad. You need a 13 mm open ended spanner/wrench to lock this to the bottom of the preload adjuster. WebJul 18, 2024 · The spring rates turned out to be just fine as both front and rear sag as recommended by Bitubo were achieved. I did have to back off the rear preload to almost full extension to achieve 26mm (25-30 is recommended). Test riding down a familiar stretch of bumpy roads provided a firm but not harsh experience.
