Its either no where close enough to the nozzle (I think that's most likely) or the bed isnt clean. It should squish and stick. Even the prime line at the start which usually is set to come out thicker than most extrusions isnt sticking.

I would say just try out both and see how you like them. Different sliders excel at different things.
