WebThe reason it was able to be patched from 2GB to 4GB is that allowing that is flipping a single "Large Address Aware" switch, since 32bit programs can already be 4GB, FNV just wasn't. Skyrim (Legendary Edition) is 32bit too, but the LAA switch was already flipped, therefore they cannot further increase the max amount of memory it can use.
