We checked it at idle after the 6.0 had been driven for a while. It was probably high 70's outside and the temp only reached to 114 degrees with the AC running. WebApr 23, 2013 · A lot of the 6.0 guys will replace a thermostat when they're running just a few degrees low. If you're having overheating problems, you might have other problems. I have a 2006 6.0 and just replaced my oil cooler. Did about everything I could to get all the oil it pumped into my coolant system out but when driving about 70 on the highway I see EOTs of 210 and ECTs around 204-208. Before my oil cooler went my EOTs were never above 202 (unloaded without a trailer) and ECTs of around 198.
