Webthis probably isn't the best place for this. but whatever. in half life 2, ep 1 and ep 2, the weapon HUD disappears. when i press a number key, it goes strait to the first in that set. i don't know what caused this. help. I believe you have fast weapon switch enabled. Try advanced options in your keyboard settings and clicking the check box.
